Health and Education Rectitude Foundation is a non- profit organization Based in Uganda Africa. The organization was initiated in 2019 and is in the registration process. The main cause of its creation is to contribute to the well-being of the communities i.e. Women, Youths and Children across the globe. The organization does not look at religion, age, race or tribe but it is a home for all the community members where they access services that contribute to their well-being.
Livelihood/ Food security, Information Counseling and Legal Assistance (ICLA), Capacity building and Education, Women Reproductive Health (WRH) and Water & Sanitation (W.S)
Women reproductive health has been a challenging situation in the rural communities across Africa and other continents and this is due to lack of access to information and treatment. A number of mothers die day to day during delivery and the cause is the various infections that attack their reproductive systems. There is a level of mindset among the community females that every death is caused by witchcraft which leads to many deaths referred to witchcraft yet it originates from reproductive infections and diseases.
In this program, HERF runs three projects i.e. - Information sharing - Counseling (psycho-social support) - Legal Assistance
Many people in our community do not know how to feed and what to feed their children, pregnant mothers and the elderly sometimes this due to the economic situation in the country and ignorance HERF will teach communities on what they are supposed to feed on inorder to reduce on the levels of Malnutrition through encouraging Urban Farming, Providing free vegetable seeds, Free clean water supply to the community
