Information Counseling and legal Assistance (ICLA)

Information Counseling and legal Assistance (ICLA)

In this program, HERF runs three projects i.e.
- Information sharing
- Counseling (psycho-social support)
- Legal Assistance

1. Information sharing

For HERF Information sharing consists undertaking awareness activities on different topics including promoting gender equality, sensitization on Gender Based Violence, Family planning Parenting, information on STIs/STDs, etc. The main aim of this project is to see that the community including the women, children and the Young people have access to the right information about their health, gender, and be able to take effective decisions. Health and Education Rectitude Foundation regularly organizes community outreaches to conduct sensitization on different topics for the well-being of the community. We organize workshops where there is participation of a number of people.

2. Counseling

In this project we provide counseling and guidance to the rural women, youth who are depressed, stressed, hopeless, living in disappointment and victims of violence. This program is designed to reduce the risks of suicidal, pressure and hatreds to the communities across the country and across the globe. We have a number of skilled and qualied counselors who regularly attend to clients through community outreaches. We organize individual and group counseling and every member of the community has access to this service.

3. Legal Assistance

The organization provides legal assistance to the rural community members who have difculties in accessing justice. We teach the rural community especially the women and female children to know their rights and obligations. We have a team of lawyers in place to help those who are marginalized and have vulnerability to acquire judicial assistance. It is true that only rich people have right to judiciary assistance in many African rural areas. The organization is looking at assisting the vulnerable community such as women to seek for judiciary assistance where necessary.
